About the Role

SmartHelio is aggressively operating in the global clean-tech market and providing advanced Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions to energy companies (mostly solar utilities). Currently, we are engaged with some of the top global clean energy companies. The incumbent will be analyzing solar PV systems performance, helping in the development of fault detecting algorithms and managing customers (mostly European, Asian and American). The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the operational activities related to the PV site performance analysis.
  2. Work with data scientists who are developing fault detection algorithms.
  3. Manage weekly deliverables to the client.
  4. Prepare weekly performance impact analysis for each PV site.
  5. Conduct monthly performance review meeting with clients.
  6. Remotely manage clients on-site staff during maintenance activities, as and when required.
  7. Build mechanisms to provide more value to the customer.
  8. Provide customer service.

Your Profile

Education Background - A degree in Engineering/Diploma (Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or Renewables), or in any other relevant field. Additional requirements are as follows -

  1. Jr. Performance Engineer: Fresh Graduates with technical training in solar PV or 1 year of experience with C&I and/or utility scale PV plants in the capacity of a Plant Engineer, O&M Engineer, Performance engineer or similar profiles.
  2. Performance Engineer: 2-3 years of on-site experience in operations and maintenance C&I and/or utility scale PV plants in the capacity of an O&M Engineer, Performance engineer or similar profiles.
  3. MUST: In-depth understanding and experience in handling day-to-day issues related to plant management and operations & maintenance.
  4. Optional for Jr. Performance Engineer role
  5. MUST: Proven experience in handling ground staff and effectively mobilizing them
  6. Optional for Jr. Performance Engineer role
  7. Sound technical understanding of the entire solar/renewable value chain: financing, pre-install, installation, post-install mechanisms, etc.
  8. Ability to understand high-level data analytics algorithms
  9. Expert in verbal and written communication
  10. Proficiency in collaboration tools and documentation tools such as MS Office, Google Docs, etc.

Pre-requisites: Candidates are required to bring their own laptops to the office for work.
