Title: Performance Engineer / Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager - (Solar Energy)

Experience:
- 3-12+ years of experience in solar/renewable energy, preferably in O&M, performance analysis, or simulation.
- Hands-on experience with SCADA monitoring and/or PVsyst modelling preferred.
Job Description:
The role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing solar plant performance using SCADA systems and PVsyst simulations. The candidate will drive performance improvement initiatives through data analysis, modelling, and close coordination with site teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Performance Monitoring & Analysis
- Daily and real-time monitoring of plant performance through SCADA.
- Analyze performance at module, string, inverter, and tracker levels.
- Identify underperforming assets and perform root cause analysis for PR deviations.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve plant efficiency.
Simulation & Modelling
- Perform detailed analysis using PVsyst simulations.
- Compare simulated vs actual plant performance on a monthly basis.
- Conduct energy yield assessment and PR modelling for internal and third-party projects.
- Develop methodologies for performance benchmarking and improvement analysis.
Reporting & MIS
- Automate and manage Daily MIS reporting across plants.
- Prepare weekly/monthly generation reports with variance analysis vs targets.
- Maintain SOPs, documentation, and contractual deliverables.
Operational Optimization
- Monitor module cleaning schedules based on soiling conditions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives based on plant performance trends.
- Provide inputs on technology performance and market trends.
Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with site teams for issue resolution and performance improvements.
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers.
- Ensure timely reporting and effective communication.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education
- B.E / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics & Communication
Experience
- 3-12+ years of experience in solar/renewable energy, preferably in O&M, performance analysis, or simulation
- Hands-on experience with SCADA monitoring and/or PVsyst modelling preferred
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of SCADA systems and plant monitoring
- Proficiency in PVsyst for simulation and energy modelling
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (automation preferred)
- Familiarity with performance analytics tools and reporting systems
- Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
