Process Excellence, Health & Automation is a unit working in the capacity of first line of defense and proactively supporting all Businesses and Functions in managing Operational Risk & Control responsibilities, with end-to-end oversight on all processes and issues, posing effective challenge to Business as an equal partner for all product, process, and regulatory implementations.
It goals is to develop and operationalize a comprehensive risk and control framework within the 1st line of defense, with front to back coverage that enables and supports the business on risk prevention, detection, mitigation & recovery.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional for the role in Process Excellence, Health & Automation team of the Bank. The role is a middle-management level position responsible for accomplishing results through oversight of the unit to provide control support that enables the business and operations on risk prevention, detection, mitigation & recovery. You will work closely with senior management, business units and other stakeholders to ensure effective risk mitigation strategies are in place. The candidate should have strong background in operational risk management, excellent analytical skills, exposure and understanding of regulatory environment The overall objective of this role is to develop and operationalize a risk and control oversight model for the unit with emphasis on areas relating to currency chest management /treasury and whole sale /corporate banking operations.
Key Responsibilities
.Pro-active in conducting root cause analysis for defects/ customer journeys and/ or process in retail especially credit cards and retail assets
.Experience in working in customer complaints management, Banking and projects related to customer experience improvement.
.Analytical, detail oriented and proficient in articulating gaps and recommendations.
.Liaise with stakeholders (Business, Operations, IT, BIU, Risk, Compliance) to identify the root cause.
.Ability to document RCA, gaps, recommendations.
.Devise frameworks for representing RCAs.
.Experience in project management, understanding of software development life and agile methodologies.
.Experience in handling regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
.Bachelor's degree /Post graduate in business, finance, risk management, or a related fields
.Strong understanding of operational risk management frameworks, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
.Proven ability to assess and manage operational risk across various business units and functions.
.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams and influence stakeholders at various levels.
.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
.Proficient in using risk management tools, various software's, and MS office applications.
.Prior experience of Wholesale / Corporate Banking operations/products will be a preferred
