Job Description

Purpose

  • The role of a Pega Lead Business Architect will have a strong focus placed on requirements gathering via DCO methodology of the Pega Platform. Independently run elaboration sessions to a diverse range of business stakeholders coming from different areas within the bank. Preach Pega best practices and promote OOTB thinking while elaborating requirements
  • Capable of leading multiple squads in delivery of customer focused, integrated solutions playing the Scrum Master role.
  • Able to guide the team and remove blockers to ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Component based; reusable architecture should be core of the solutions they provide.
  • They will provide critical thinking and a high degree of technical innovation and attention to detail while being recognized as a trusted advisor to the team and stakeholders.
  • As well as the technical skills we are looking for someone who is a great communicator, solutions driven and thrives in working in a team to achieve the project goals.

Essential capabilities

  • Independently conduct elaboration sessions – Run requirement gathering sessions with LSA and the client SMEs to elaborate the requirements, process steps, and objectives.
  • Work with other Pega LSAs, and SSAs to improve standards and guidelines.
  • Work in agile methodology and support the Manager Engineer to size, manage scope, and highlight risks using stand-ups, burn-down, status reports, retrospectives, etc.
  • Highlight risks and assumptions identified during the course of the project.
  • Work closely with delivery teams of various applications in ensuring test alignment at the test case level.
  • Escalate the issues about project requirements (Software, Hardware, and Resources) to the Manager Engineer.
  • Ensure the delivered solution matches customer functional requirements and commits to Customer Success.
  • Experience conducting various scrum ceremonies

Experience

  • It is expected that the role holder will most likely have the following qualifications and experience:
  • 8+ years of Pega Platform experience on requirements gathering and delivery of client deliverables:
  • Experience using the latest version of Pegai.e Version 8 and above
  • Experience in full Pega implementation cycle using agile methodology
  • Experience in DCO methodology
  • Understanding of Pega frameworks for Finance industry and hands-on experience on a few of them

Key Accountabilities

  • Requirements gathering, running elaboration sessions, preparing requirements matrix, etc
  • Leading and conducting Scrum ceremonies
  • Guide the business through UAT / BVT sessions
  • Coaching, mentoring, and guiding junior business analysts
  • Provide key support on fail and fix for assigned application/s.
