ETL Testing Lead

Job Description

The is the role for an experienced Automation tester who understands the architecture overall, is able to understands the systems involved and the integration points etc. The candidate will be required to work closely with the Test lead and the development team to write the automation test scripts and identify the areas which are critical from the end to end testing perspective. Need a senior guy who has worked on medium scale projects and programs in past and hence will be able to add value to the overall program.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and perform ETL/DWH/BI testing activities end-to-end.

• Create test strategies, test plans, and estimation.

• Coordinate with developers, analysts, and business users.

• Assign tasks and review team deliverables.

• Perform complex SQL-based data validation.

• Manage defect lifecycle using JIRA.

• Ensure sprint-level quality in Agile projects.

• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and business users for defect triage and closure.

• Support UAT and production validation.

Experience and Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. in Computer Science from a reputed University

• 7-14 years of relevant industry experience

Essential Skills

• Strong expertise in ETL testing, DWH concepts, BI reports testing (OAS and Power BI).

• Excellent SQL querying and data analysis skills.

• Knowledge of data reconciliation, transformations, and source-to-target mapping.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Hands-on with JIRA and test management practices.

• Ability to guide QA engineers.

Desired Skills

• Automation scripting for data testing.

• Knowledge of ETL tools: Informatica, Snaplogic

• Orchestration Tool - Control-M.

• Sound knowledge of finance domain
