Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled PCB Layout Engineer with 4+ years of experience in designing complex, multi-layer printed circuit boards using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end PCB layout design, working closely with hardware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable designs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complete PCB layout design from netlist import to fabrication release using Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand schematics created in OrCAD Capture
Design and develop multi-layer PCBs (6–12+ layers) with high component density
Execute high-speed routing for interfaces such as DDR, USB, PCIe, and Ethernet
Define and manage design constraints including impedance, spacing, and differential pairs
Optimize component placement for signal integrity, thermal performance, and manufacturability
Work with PCB fabrication vendors for stack-up definition and controlled impedance requirements
Perform Design Rule Checks (DRC) and resolve layout issues efficiently
Generate manufacturing outputs including Gerber files, ODB++, drill files, and assembly drawings
Support design reviews, prototyping, and debugging activities
Required Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience in PCB layout design
Strong expertise in Cadence Allegro PCB Designer
Experience with high-speed PCB design and signal integrity concepts
Knowledge of multi-layer stack-up design and HDI techniques
Understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT principles
Familiarity with EMI/EMC considerations and best practices
Ability to interpret schematics and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with DDR3/DDR4 routing and constraint management
Exposure to SI/PI analysis tools
Experience in domains like telecom, automotive, or consumer electronics
Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351)
