Role - PCB Front End Engineer - Technical Feasibility

Qualification - Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline
Role Purpose - This role is responsible for acting as the technical interface between customers and manufacturing to assess PCB design feasibility, optimize designs for cost and manufacturability, and ensure accurate translation of customer requirements into production‑ready engineering outputs for high‑quality and efficient manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with customers for technical assessment of PCB designs to evaluate manufacturing feasibility
- Review and validate customer design data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with manufacturing capabilities
- Perform DFM and feasibility analysis to assess yield, reliability, quality, and cost impact
- Identify technical risks related to stack‑up, materials, tolerances, impedance, drilling, routing, and surface finishes
- Recommend design improvements and optimization options to meet cost, quality, and delivery targets
- Generate and share cost‑driving parameters and feasibility inputs within defined turnaround times
- Ensure customer requirements are correctly translated into production‑ready engineering outputs
- Prepare, validate, and release accurate CAM and manufacturing documentation for production
- Coordinate with CAM, process engineering, and production teams for smooth engineering handover
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong experience in front‑end engineering and DFM for PCB manufacturing
- In‑depth understanding of multilayer PCB fabrication processes and materials
- Knowledge of stack‑up design, impedance control, drilling, plating, imaging, etching, solder mask, and surface finishes
- Ability to interpret Gerber, ODB++, fabrication drawings, and IPC standards
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and customer communication skills
- Awareness of manufacturing cost drivers and yield implications
