Create detailed PCB layout designs based on engineering schematics and requirements.
Schematic to Layout: Convert engineering schematics and netlists into physical board layouts.
Constraint Management: Define and manage high-speed design rules, impedance control, trace lengths, and stack-ups.
Review and verify design outputs against project specifications.
Collaborate with engineers to develop and refine design specifications.
Perform design validation and testing to ensure circuit functionality.
Optimize PCB layouts for performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Communicate with vendors and manufacturers to ensure design feasibility and production quality.
Generate and maintain detailed documentation for all PCB designs.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and technology trends.
DFM/DFT Implementation: Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) principles to ensure high yield and reliability.
Documentation: Generate Gerber files, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and BOMs.
Work Experience
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Standards: Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-2221, IPC-7351)
3-5 years of experience in PCB design using industry-standard tools such as Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or similar.
Demonstrated expertise in multi-layer PCB design, including high-speed and high-temp circuit design considerations.
Strong understanding of electronic components, manufacturing processes, and assembly techniques.
Proven ability to analyze and resolve complex design issues under tight deadlines.
