About Catalyx Space

We build mission-critical electronics for satellites and space communications.

Role:

Own PCB design for high-speed digital and RF boards (FPGAs, RF front-ends). Work closely with system architects, RF, and embedded teams to deliver flight-ready hardware.

Key responsibilities

• End-to-end PCB design in Altium/KiCad (schematic layout DFM docs).
• High-speed routing, stack-up, impedance control, and SI/PI best practices.
• RF layout: matching networks, isolation, return paths, grounding.
• Power delivery design and decoupling strategies.
• FPGA breakouts/BGA fan-outs (Xilinx/Intel or similar).
• Run SI/PI/thermal/power sims and drive design reviews.
• Generate fabrication/assembly packages, BOMs, and test docs; support bring-up.

Minimum qualifications:

• 3+ years PCB design with FPGAs and RF subsystems.
• Proficient with Altium Designer or KiCad.
• Familiar with S-/X-band, GNSS, SDR platforms and RF test gear.
• Experience with SI/PI/thermal analysis tools.
• Strong documentation and cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have:

• Aerospace/defense electronics experience.
• Satellite comms/SDR exposure.
• Hierarchical/blocked schematic methodologies.
