Job Title: PCB Assembly Process Engineer
Location:: Bangalore, KA

Education:
- Engineering Graduate in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in the relevant field.
Job-Related Experience:
- Extensive experience in SMT, THT, and Wave soldering processes within a PCBA manufacturing environment, ideally in high-volume, high-mix product lines.
- Proven expertise in SMT, THT, manual assembly, and conformal coating processes. Responsible for setting up, reviewing, and analyzing temperature profiling for both reflow and wave soldering, as well as CC ovens.
- Collaborate with product designers to ensure timely execution of both product pilots and mass production.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Solid knowledge of IPC610 and IPC600 standards for defining and executing the qualification of new product development and product support.
- Familiar with the 6 Sigma (DMAIC) methodology for problem-solving.
- Responsible for SMT pick-and-place and THT line activities, investigating and resolving process issues to enhance product yield and quality.
- Review PCB Gerbers and perform DFM (Design for Board Assembly) on new products.
- Lead PFMEA of the process, design line layouts, and ensure effective monitoring and implementation of company's standards.
- Responsible for developing stencils, pallets, and jigs as per product requirements.
- Conduct changeover and material handling analyses to improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Develop, validate, assess suitability, report, and implement KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and process metrics at a facility level.
- Responsible for corrective and preventive actions on process issues.
- Proficient in applying basic quality tools, DoE, PFMEA, and 8D functional analysis.
- Develop automated solutions in assembly where applicable. Work closely with ECC process team engineers on day-to-day pilot activities. During the PCBA pilot process, support the PCBA process team with innovations and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Conduct failure analysis and continuous improvements in processes using various SPC techniques such as FMEA, DOE, X-R Charts, Pareto Charts, Fish-Bone Charts, etc. Develop and enhance processes for new products and existing product lines in terms of complete manufacturing.
