Role Summary

  • The Data & Insight team maintains a catalogue of standard spend reports that must be produced for the business on a regular cadence.
  • The Analyst will be responsible for supporting the monthly spend refresh process, managing and delivering standard spend reports in line with business requirements and timelines.
  • As part of the Data and Insight team, the role requires a strong understanding of broader team processes and activities beyond their immediate area. The Analyst should be able to connect insights across spend, savings, and other reporting streams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and meaningful analysis.
  • The role will also support spend duplication analysis, reclassification investigations, and the delivery of accurate reporting to support Procurement spend governance and informed decision-making.
  • The Analyst will provide support to team members on additional tasks and initiatives, as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • The Analyst will gather all relevant invoice and payment data, including invoice distributions, AP detail reports, PO detail reports, expense reports, and other relevant datasets from ERP systems and business stakeholders.
  • Perform QA checks on collected data to ensure it is in the correct format for ingestion into the spend analytics tool.
  • Proactively manage stakeholder engagement to ensure timely and accurate data collection.
  • Reclassify spend categories to ensure accurate allocation based on supplier mapping.
  • Adhere to all spend-related controls and checkpoints to maintain data accuracy and process efficiency.
  • Update the Supplier Intelligence Management tool with relevant and validated spend data.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and Brand partners to support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual spend reports.
  • Prepare dashboards and insights for monthly management and executive meetings to support informed decision-making.
  • Leverage data and insights derived from spend analytics to support spend optimization and risk management.

Skills & Experience

  • Degree-level education with 35 years of experience in a data analysis role within a Procurement or Finance environment.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, including working with large datasets, pivot tables, sorting, charts, IF statements, and XLOOKUPs.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI, Databricks and Spend Analytics Tool.
  • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to take initiative.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrates critical thinking, proactiveness, and strong self-motivation.
  • Able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and proactively takes ownership of tasks and initiatives.
  • Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Proven ability to drive projects focused on improving processes and technology.
