Job Title: Payroll Specialist -Implementation

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Executive who has hands-on experience in both payroll processing and implementation of payroll systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll delivery, statutory compliance, and smooth implementation of payroll systems for new clients or entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Manage end-to-end payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Process monthly salary, incentives, arrears, reimbursements, and full & final settlements.
- Handle variable inputs like attendance, leave data, overtime, and deductions.
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality.
Implementation:
- Lead and support payroll system implementation for new clients or entities.
- Coordinate data migration, system configuration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Work closely with HR, Finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth transition to the new payroll platform.
- Prepare process documentation, SOPs, and training material post-implementation.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Income Tax, etc.).
- Prepare and file statutory returns and challans within deadlines.
- Generate MIS and payroll reports as required by management and auditors.
- Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, HR, or related field.
- 1-4 years of relevant experience in payroll operations and implementation.
- Strong working knowledge of payroll software (e.g., GreytHR, Zing HR or similar).
- Solid understanding of Indian payroll laws and statutory compliance.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (vlookups, pivots, formulas, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical ability, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and coordination skills for client and cross-functional interactions.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience in multi-state payroll or client-side payroll implementation projects.
- Exposure to global payroll or HRIS integration (added advantage).
- Ability to work independently and handle confidential data with integrity.
