Position Summary:
We are seeking a US Payroll Manager to join our corporate team. This critical internal role supports our geographically dispersed consultant workforce by ensuring accurate and compliant payroll operations. You will oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, data integrity, and continuous improvement initiatives, all while leading a direct report and partnering closely with Finance and People Operations.
Essential Duties:
- Administer full-cycle, multi-state payroll for employees and consultants.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws.
- Audit payroll data across Paycom, JobScience, and Cloud Coach systems.
- Lead payroll reporting and integrate with the general ledger.
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries with accuracy and professionalism.
- Supervise and mentor a Payroll Specialist.
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
- 5-7 years of progressive payroll experience, including 2+ years in a management role.
- Previous experience with multi-state payroll compliance.
- Prior supervisory experience required.
Skills and Job-Specific Competencies:
