Job Description

Responsibilities:-

  • Ensuring accurate and timely payroll end-to-end production for various clients in accordance with statutory regulations within payroll deadlines and requirements.
  • Servicing multiple clients as part of a team effort to deliver excellent service to our clients.
  • Managing payroll deadlines and requirements of your own personal portfolio of payroll clients.
  • Ensuring you have up to date knowledge of statutory and legislative regulations by attending in-house training courses.
  • Managing import/export of new employee and timesheet data onto the payroll platform, including:
    • Starters
    • Leavers
    • Absences and work plans
    • Variations and adjustments
    • Salary changes
    • Changes to benefits and allowances and different contract types
    • Child Care Voucher schemes
    • Pension enrolment, deductions and its compliance
    • CIS
  • Processing statutory payments.
  • Generating payroll reports, P45s etc.
  • Distributing payslips to multiple platforms.
  • Submitting reports to HMRC via RTI
  • Auto enrolment / Pension filings
  • Client correspondence and trouble shooting
  • HMRC correspondence
  • Payroll reconciliations - PAYE, CIS, Pension etc.
  • Ensuring procedures and key control documents are kept up to date for auditing purposes.
  • Completing any other ad hoc duties as required

Requirements

About the ideal candidate:

The ideal experienced applicant will have good practical understanding of payroll calculations, deadlines, and UK legislation and requirements, coupled with strong numerical abilities and proven experience in MS Office, in particular Excel. You will have knowledge of month-end and year-end returns and balancing with the ability to perform manual calculations, as and when required. Previous experience of working in a multi-frequency payroll environment is advantageous.

Education background:

Finance / Accounting background - B.com, BBA, MBA, M.Com, HR background or better

  • Discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
