Job Description

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of monthly payroll for employees.
  • Take overall responsibility for payroll processing and administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
  • Manage time-bound payroll activities such as investment declarations, Form 16 generation, and income tax returns processing.
  • Ensure salary disbursement timelines are met and statutory compliances are adhered to.
  • Manage employee benefits and reimbursements in accordance with Income Tax rules and company policies.
  • Prepare MIS reports and payroll analytics, and standardize payroll reports to support management decision-making.
  • Validate payroll inputs such as attendance, leave records, reimbursements, and salary revisions.
  • Handle and resolve employee queries related to payroll, tax deductions, reimbursements, and payslips.
  • Maintain accurate records of employee benefits, loans, advances, and payroll deductions.
  • Perform verification and reconciliation of monthly payroll data before processing payments.
  • Calculate and ensure timely deposit of TDS on salaries, and prepare & submit quarterly and annual TDS returns.
  • Prepare, validate, and submit statutory returns and compliance reports within required timelines.
  • Publish monthly payroll dashboards and reports for management review.
  • Ensure monthly payroll provisions are accurately recorded.
  • Manage the Full and Final (FNF) settlement process, ensuring timely weekly payments for exiting employees.
  • Support statutory and payroll audits by maintaining proper documentation and records.
  • Coordinate closely with HR and Finance teams for employee data updates, payroll inputs, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.
  • Good understanding of PF, ESI, TDS, PT, and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Exposure to work in payroll software
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
