Role & Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end monthly payroll for factory and office employees: attendance validation, earnings, deductions, arrears and final settlements.
  • Ensure timely statutory compliance: calculate and remit PF, ESI, TDS and other statutory contributions; prepare and submit periodic returns and challans.
  • Maintain and administer payroll records in HRIS/payroll systems (attendance, leave, loan deductions, reimbursements) and perform monthly reconciliations with finance ledgers.
  • Prepare and support payroll audits, statutory inspections and internal reviews; produce payroll reports and compliance packs for auditors and management.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee queries; coordinate with HR, Finance and Banking teams for salary disbursements and corrections.
  • Implement process controls and documentation improvements to reduce errors and accelerate payroll cycles in a high-volume manufacturing setup.

Skills & Qualifications Must-Have

  • 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience in India (manufacturing or large headcount preferred).
  • Practical knowledge of Indian labour laws and statutory requirements: PF, ESI, TDS, and related returns.
  • Experience using payroll/HRIS systems (GreytHR, Keka, Zoho Payroll or SAP Payroll) and strong MS Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume payrolls, month-end closures and payroll reconciliations with finance.
  • Experience preparing documents for statutory audits and handling labour inspections.

Preferred

  • Prior experience in the Textile or Manufacturing sector with shopfloor payroll operations.
  • Familiarity with SAP Payroll module or enterprise payroll implementations.
  • Certifications or formal training in payroll compliance or Indian labour law.

Benefits & Culture Highlights

  • On-site role with direct exposure to manufacturing HR operations and cross-functional collaboration with Finance.
  • Opportunity to own compliance processes and improve payroll controls in a fast-paced factory environment.
  • Supportive team culture focused on accuracy, adherence and continuous process improvement.
