About The Role

The Payment Reporting Analyst assists in turning data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions. The focus of this role is on end-to-end data management, analytics and compliance for our Payments operation, from building and maintaining ETL processes to producing data visualizations and reports. The candidate should have experience working with business intelligence concepts, relational data, and various reporting tools. This individual will be responsible for using their technical expertise, critical thinking skills, and business knowledge to provide data, reporting, and/or analysis to answer questions or address business needs from key stakeholders in a timely manner.

What You'll Do

  • Develop & deliver Daily/Weekly/Monthly KPI reporting with dashboards for the wider teams using BI tools
  • Perform data, business, and systems analysis, and deliver consumable reports using system reporting tools to identify trends, potential issues, findings, and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop an understanding of the business processes in place that drive customer payments data into our systems and the knowledge to serve as a subject matter expert for the underlying data being used in reporting.
  • Partner with related processes and operations to become a subject matter expert on their SLAs, tools, data, and processes.
  • Assist with data warehouse management and ETL pipeline processes, including performing data discovery and taking ownership of data health.
  • Maintain relationships across the team/department/companyto build trust in internal data and promote data-driven decision making.
  • Work independently to handle multiple simultaneous data and reporting projects.
  • Help the wider team to translate business goals and requirements into KPIs and measurable events, with associated reporting & monitoring



What You'll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in analytics and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree (including database management coursework).
  • Critical and analytical thinking skills plus the intellectual curiosity to question/test assumptions and find edge cases.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong data manipulation, analysis, and visualization skills.
  • SQL Server proficiency, including the ability to develop, iterate upon, debug, and optimize T-SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively when help is not available and the solution to a problem is not immediately known.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of relational data.
  • Previous background/experiencein a data centric role.
  • Experience with data visualization software, specifically Tableau and/or Qlik Sense.
  • Will work standard schedule for Blackbaud India.
