E2E Payments Specialist - Retail Oil & Gas / Forecourt Payments - Contract Position

Location: India (Remote)

Preferred Location: Pune or Bangalore

Contract Length: Initial 6 months (extension very likely)

Paritas is working with a leading IT Consultancy who is seeking an experienced Senior Payments Specialist with deep expertise in retail payments within the Downstream Oil & Gas sector. This role will support complex payment environments across petrol forecourts, EPOS systems, fleet and fuel card products, and associated third-party integrations.

The successful candidate will bring strong end-to-end payments knowledge, hands-on experience with POS terminals and payment platforms, and a proven ability to work across support, change, and delivery in large, enterprise-scale environments.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years end-to-end payments experience, ideally within large-scale retail environments
• Strong background in retail payments in Downstream Oil & Gas, such as:

EPOS and petrol forecourt payment systems

Fleet Card Management (e.g. Shell Fleet Hub or similar)

Fuel & Charge / EV charging card products

• Experience working with major Oil & Gas companies operating forecourt networks

Technical & Domain Expertise

• Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including:
• Acquirers and issuers
• Payment gateways
• Payment processing technologies
• Hands-on experience with payment terminals (e.g. Verifone or similar)
• Proven experience delivering POS terminal hardware and software upgrades
• Solid understanding of payments support models, change management, and delivery processes
• Experience working with and managing multiple third-party vendors and service providers
