Job Description

  • Perform gross examination, dissection, and microscopic analysis of surgical specimens, including biopsies, resections, and autopsies, to diagnose diseases and conditions.
  • Interpret histological, cytological, immunohistochemical, and molecular pathology findings to provide accurate and reliable diagnoses.
  • Collaborate with clinical colleagues, including surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, and other specialists, to integrate pathology findings into patient care and treatment planning.
  • Communicate pathology findings effectively to clinicians and other members of the healthcare team through written pathology reports, verbal consultations, and interdisciplinary conferences.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor pathology residents, medical technologists, and other laboratory staff in specimen processing, analysis, and reporting.
