Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in any office of K&K (preferably Gr. Noida or Delhi or Bangalore or Pune) for a Senior Patent Attorney/Agent/Professional - Chemistry with core focus on drafting patent specifications for IN, US, and EP markets in Core Chemistry, Chemical and Life Sciences domains.

Colleagues with Biotechnology or Chemical backgrounds are sincerely requested not to apply for this role. The professional will handle mainly mandates associated with drafting of patent applications along with prosecution support such as for preparing FER responses, undertaking peer reviews, and undertaking hearings. The role also includes conducting due diligence, patent strategy development, and ensuring compliance with various legal standards. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and liaising with clients will be key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have a Masters Degree in Chemistry
• Proficiency in drafting, preparing, and reviewing Patent Applications
• In-depth understanding of Patent Law, including prosecution and compliance
• Experience with Due Diligence and strategic advisory related to patents
• Strong analytical and research skills, particularly in chemistry-related domains
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams
• Law degree is a strong advantage
• Registration with relevant patent authorities or bar association is preferred
• Possession of client-focused mindset with a track record of managing long-term client relationships
