Elevate is hiring for a Patent Associate Prosecution with 12 years of hands on experience in drafting and prosecuting US and European patent applications, particularly in the biotechnology / life sciences domain. The role involves close collaboration with inventors, senior patent attorneys, and international associates to manage patent prosecution from drafting through grant.
Specifically, the Patent Associate will
- Draft and prepare responses to US and EP Office Actions, including novelty, inventive step, clarity, and enablement objections.
- Analyze Office Action rejections and develop legally and technically sound response strategies.
- Draft and amend claims, specifications, and responses in compliance with US and EPO practice.
- Conduct prior art analysis to support prosecution and amendment strategies.
- Support continuation, divisional, and PCT national phase filings.
- Communicate with inventors to understand technical details and incorporate them into responses
- Ensure high quality work product aligned with client and jurisdictional standards
Experience
- 12 years of proven experience in patent prosecution
- Demonstrated experience in preparing responses to US and/or EP Office Actions
- Experience as Patent Agent (preferred)
- Exposure to Electrochemistry technology

- Strong legal reasoning and analytical skills
Qualifications
- B.Tech in Biotechnology /Life Science/Biochemistry
