Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for an Patent Associate at United & United. The role involves handling day-to-day tasks such as below -
- Preparing and filing responses to Examination Reports (FER) issued by the Indian Patent Office.
- Representing matters in Patent Hearings before the Indian Patent Office & other jurisdictions.
- Drafting and assisting in Patent Opposition matters (pre-grant and post-grant), including preparation of pleadings and representation in hearings.
- Conducting technical discussions with inventors and clients to understand inventions and translate them into patentable subject matter.
- Working closely with the patent team on prosecution strategies and case management.
Desired Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical background in Biotechnology / Chemistry / Electronics / Electricals.
- Good patent drafting and analytical skills.
- Understanding of the Indian Patent Act and Rules and Patent Prosecution Practice.
- Ability to independently handle assigned matters while collaborating with the team.
- Good communication and coordination skills with clients and inventors.
Experience Required:
Min experience for 1-2 years as a Registered Patent Agent with exposure to patent drafting and prosecution.
