Responsibilities:

Pastry Preparation & Production

• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, breads, desserts, and confectionery items
• Develop and test new dessert recipes and seasonal menus
• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation

Kitchen Operations & Management

• Plan daily production schedules and manage pastry kitchen operations
• Supervise and train pastry cooks, bakers, and kitchen staff
• Ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation of orders

Quality, Hygiene & Safety

• Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and sanitation
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and HACCP standards
• Monitor proper storage, handling, and labeling of ingredients

Inventory & Cost Control

• Manage inventory of baking ingredients, tools, and supplies
• Control food costs, portion sizes, and minimize wastage
• Coordinate with suppliers and place ingredient orders

Presentation & Plating

• Design and execute attractive dessert presentations and displays
• Ensure desserts meet restaurant or brand presentation standards
