Job Description

  • Establish a leadership stance among key stakeholders on both the client and agency side.
  • Translate the client's needs into clear direction for Mindshare and GroupM resources working on the account.
  • Become completely familiar with the client's organizational structure, planning process, marketing calendar, and the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Understand the Mindshare way of working and effectively navigate through its verticals.

Measures of Success

  • In six months, you will have:Fostered strong client relationships across the client portfolio for yourself and your team, with a deep understanding of their key business requirements.
  • Been recognized as a trusted advisor, executing media-first innovations and delivering exceptional ROI for the client.
  • Led the change in the digital, data, and content ecosystem, identifying opportunities and collaborating with internal teams and partners to deliver the best solutions.
  • Demonstrated the ability to guide and coach your team, helping them improve their strategic thinking skills, capabilities, and knowledge of digital, data, and content.
  • In 12 months, you will have:Worked closely on innovative projects that help drive further growth.
  • Built client satisfaction by proactively soliciting critical feedback.

What Your Day Job Looks Like at Mindshare

  • Provide strategic thinking, innovative communication planning, and a deep knowledge of media fundamentals to craft innovative, integrated brand strategies.
  • Act as a client visionary by offering a highly valued perspective based on a deep understanding of their business, issues, and opportunities. You should be able to lead strategic conversations on media and communication planning that drive business outcomes.
  • Manage and motivate your team to effectively meet client needs and goals.
  • Ensure timely team appraisals and clear development goals, identifying and following through on appropriate training and career development for your team members.

What You'll Bring

  • High integrity while maintaining positive, open relationships.
  • A deep understanding of the industry, business, brands, and consumers. You should be able to dial up your servicing skills with senior management stakeholders beyond the media team, including business and marketing leads.
  • Understanding of business principles and best practices, and the ability to perceive issues in both financial and commercial terms.
  • A highly passionate, collaborative, outgoing, creative media leader and thinker.
  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to articulate thoughts, ideas, and media solutions clearly.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and business acumen.
  • Acute inquisitiveness and an understanding of an entrepreneur's mindset.
  • The ability to understand mediums beyond ATL (Above the Line).

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 10+ years of total work experience in media business consultancy, market research/analytics, or a strategic planning role, with at least 3-4 years spent on media/communications planning. FMCG experience (on either the client or agency side) is a definitive advantage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
