Position Purpose

Located at our Kochi, Kerala, India office, the Paraplanner will play an integral role in supporting our Financial Advisers by preparing high-calibre financial advice documents and providing outstanding service to our clients. The position is geared towards facilitating seamless delivery of advice through a deep understanding of client objectives, financial strategies, and compliance requirements.

This role involves assisting with the development, preparation, and execution of customised financial strategies while ensuring these meet standards of accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with seasoned advisers and gain exposure to both Wholesale and Retail clients across a diverse array of advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Wealth Advisers, Associate Advisers, and other internal specialists to develop advice and investment strategies that deliver optimal outcomes for clients.
  • Prepare personalised advice documentation (SOAs, IPSs, and ROAs) within agreed timeframes and service standards.
  • Attain individual quality and productivity metrics.
  • Conduct financial calculations, scenario modelling, and detailed cash flow analyses.
  • Maintain and enhance financial planning software (XPLAN, Xtools, Wealth Solver) to ensure all data remains accurate and current.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline administrative processes and improve internal tools and templates related to advice creation.
  • Remain informed about industry regulations, compliance requirements, and leading practices to ensure all advice provided is compliant and tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate effective risk and compliance management by implementing necessary measures, controls, and activities to fulfil corporate and regulatory obligations.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial planning software, specifically Xplan, for advice generation, modelling, and research.
  • Firm grasp of compliance and ethical standards within the financial advisory domain.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years experience working as a Paraplanner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with financial planning software, notably Xplan, for advice generation, modelling, and research.
  • RG146 accreditation (optional) with substantiated technical expertise.
  • In-depth understanding of investment markets and stockbroking; familiarity with MDA portfolios is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with SMSF structures and advice delivery, including Trusts.
  • Previous exposure to Hub24 is highly desirable.
