Role Description

The Parametric Revit Modelling Specialist is responsible for developing parametric Revit families, automation scripts, and intelligent BIM models that enable efficient modelling, customization, and documentation of building components. The role supports design, engineering, and production teams by creating reusable BIM assets and parametric workflows.

Key Responsibilities

1. Parametric Family Development

Create advanced parametric families in Autodesk Revit.

Develop fully configurable components using parameters, formulas, and nested families.

Build structural, architectural, and MEP families with high LOD (Level of Development).

Ensure families comply with BIM standards and naming conventions.

2. BIM Library Development

Create and manage company BIM content libraries.

Standardize parametric components for reusability across projects.

Optimize families to maintain small file size and high performance.

3. Parametric Modelling & Automation

Develop parametric modelling workflows using:

Dynamo

Python

C# (for Revit API tools)

Automate tasks such as:

Model generation

Quantity extraction

Rebar placement

Drawing creation

4. Coordination & Model Management

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and fabrication teams.

Ensure models follow BIM execution plans and LOD requirements.

Maintain model accuracy and clash-free designs.

5. Custom Tool Development

Develop custom tools using the Autodesk Revit API.

Create internal plugins for model automation and data extraction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture / BIM / Mechanical Engineering
