Key Responsibilities

1. Panorama & Firewall Management

• Optimize Panorama setup and managed firewalls by consolidating and standardizing device templates and groups for improved efficiency.
• Streamline firewall operations and implement recommendations aligned with change management processes.

1. License & Feature Optimization

• Assess current firewall licenses and features to ensure full utilization of investments and enhance overall security posture.

1. Security Architecture & Analysis

• Conduct comprehensive current-state analysis covering architecture, controls, risks, and compliance.
• Perform requirements gathering and GAP analysis to identify improvement areas.

1. Technology Evaluation & Roadmap

• Shortlist business-aligned technology solutions leveraging leading security technologies and validated reference architectures.
• Develop a roadmap for network security transformation, including blueprint-based secure architecture for on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.

1. Deployment & Configuration

• Plan phased deployments with minimal business disruption.
• Execute configuration hardening, policy optimization, and automation using best practices and accelerators.

1. Operational Readiness & Training

• Ensure operational readiness through training and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
• Establish runbooks and SOPs for ongoing operations.

1. Threat Intelligence & Posture Management

• Integrate ongoing threat intelligence and maintain proactive security posture.
• Conduct performance tuning, incident response planning, and simulation exercises.

1. Continuous Improvement

• Schedule regular reviews and adapt security measures to emerging threats.
• Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls and Panorama.
• Expertise in network security architecture for on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of firewall policy optimization, configuration hardening, and automation.
• Familiarity with threat intelligence integration and incident response planning.
• Excellent understanding of compliance frameworks and risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Certifications

• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
• CISSP / CCSP or equivalent security certifications
• Cloud security certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP)
