Job Title: Packaging Purchase Executive / Assistant Manager – Packaging Procurement (FMCG)
Location: Navi Mumbai | Kopar Khairane
Experience: 3–5 Years (Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in FMCG packaging)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Working Days: 6 Days a Week
Salary: ₹40,000 - ₹55,000 per month.
Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Packaging Procurement Executive with strong experience in FMCG manufacturing. The role involves sourcing and managing packaging materials, cost optimization, vendor coordination, and ensuring timely availability of quality-compliant materials for production.
Key Responsibilities:
Procure primary & secondary packaging materials as per production planning
Handle sourcing of flexible packaging (laminated films), corrugated boxes, cartons, PET, PP, PVC materials
Prepare and manage costing sheets, price comparisons, and budget planning
Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery timelines to ensure cost efficiency
Coordinate closely with production, QA, and planning teams for material requirements
Ensure all packaging materials comply with quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety norms
Monitor supplier performance based on quality, lead time, and service levels
Track market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Maintain proper procurement documentation, MIS reports, and records for audit and reporting purposes
Ensure timely availability of materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Required Skills & Experience:
3–5 years of experience in FMCG / food manufacturing procurement
Strong knowledge of flexible packaging (lamination), corrugation, and plastic materials (PET, PP, PVC)
Hands-on experience in packaging costing and vendor negotiations
Good understanding of packaging quality standards, regulatory compliance, and food safety
Experience in handling boxes, cartons, and bulk packaging materials
Strong planning and inventory management skills.
