We are seeking a Packaging and Development Specialist to drive innovative packaging solutions from concept to launch. This role involves collaboration with various teams, supplier management, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Role & Responsibilities
Packaging Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing and Costing, product development, and supply chain) to conceptualize and create innovative packaging designs.
- Conduct research on materials, trends, and sustainable packaging innovations.
- Develop and test prototypes to ensure functionality, durability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Optimize packaging designs for cost, sustainability, and ease of production.
- Perform quality assurance checks on packaging materials and designs.
Sourcing:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers for packaging materials and components.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost-saving objectives.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and monitor supplier performance.
- Ensure all packaging materials comply with Toy industry regulations, sustainability standards, and company policies.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for innovation and cost reduction.
Project Management:
- Lead packaging projects from concept to launch, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
- Maintain detailed documentation for packaging specifications, test results, and approvals.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure packaging aligns with product requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues throughout the production and distribution process.
Skills Required
