Overview

Your role

  • Lead a team of structural engineers and BIM resources, ensuring highquality technical outputs for station building and rail& transit projects in accordance with Eurocodes.
  • Deliver projects in alignment with the project governance system, meeting required programme, quality, and delivery milestones.
  • Coordinate effectively with the Lead Office and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated design solutions and alignment with client expectations.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of departmental processes through the use of digital tools, standardised calculation systems, and bestpractice engineering methods.
  • Provide technical direction, supervision, mentoring, and support to junior engineers, promoting their professional development and competence.

About you

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a Postgraduate degree in Structural Engineering from a recognised university, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development or professional chartership (preferred).
  • Proven experience leading technical teams in the detailed design of station buildings and rail/transit structures.
  • Strong background in concept and schematic design for steel, concrete, and composite structures.
  • Experience working on railway stations, underpasses, footbridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil/structural assets.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD, ROBOT, LUSAS, and RAM Connection.
  • Sound working knowledge of Eurocodes and Network Rail Standard.
  • Strong capability in both dynamic and static structural analysis.
