About The Role

Anglicare is looking for a casual Outreach Worker for the Community Pantry program to run and operate Anglicare's FFA Community Pantry operations - Fresh Food, such that all services are delivered with best possible impact and experience for shoppers and partner churches. To provide excellent service, taking responsibility for daily operations.

This is a casual role based at Minchinbury

Responsibilities (not Limited To)

  • Ensure all Fresh Food Community Pantry sites are fully covered and engaged in program by working with the team.
  • Restocking the Community Pantry van before and after service.
  • Visiting partnered churches to operate service, providing exceptional customer service to Parish volunteers and clients.
  • Ensure Parishes are fully engaged with the CP program by communicating relevant information and providing a professional, safe, culturally sensitive service that encourages parish involvement.
  • Ensures accurate and timely financial administration by processing money on time, banking cash weekly and documenting daily reconciliations.
  • Ensures up-to-date client statistics are available by maintaining a register of clients who attend the program.
  • Contribute to the safety culture by keeping the workplace safe, clean and tidy, complying always with safe work practices

Requirements

  • Certificate or equivalent qualification in Community Services and/or Warehouse Logistics highly regarded
  • Previous experience in Customer Service/Food Industry, or similar relevant field
  • Experience in manual handling and repetitive lifting of goods in and out of a truck
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Forklift Licence desired
