Registered Nurse – OT Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and responsible OT Technician to support surgical procedures by preparing the operation theatre, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a sterile and safe environment in a multispecialty hospital. The role is crucial in enabling smooth and efficient surgical operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the operation theatre before surgeries.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Maintain strict aseptic and infection control practices.
- Sterilize instruments and coordinate with CSSD for instrument processing.
- Handle OT equipment such as surgical lights, suction machines, cautery, and monitors.
- Assist in patient positioning and transfer.
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and report shortages.
- Clean and disinfect OT before and after procedures.
- Support in emergency procedures and Code Blue situations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT) or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in OT preferred (freshers with training may apply).
- Knowledge of surgical instruments and sterilization techniques.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical knowledge of OT equipment.
- Understanding of sterile techniques and infection control.
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and discipline.
Work Environment
- Fast-paced operation theatre in a multispecialty hospital.
- Rotational shifts, including emergency and on-call duties.
Key Areas Of Exposure (Preferred)
- General surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, and emergency procedures
- Basic anesthesia equipment handling
- Sterilization and OT protocols
