We are seeking a skilled OT Network and System Engineer to join our team, focusing on the Asia-Pacific region. This role is essential for maintaining the security, reliability, and performance of our Operational Technology (OT) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity and network management, with hands-on experience in the energy sector. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from implementing security measures and managing access to troubleshooting systems and collaborating with global teams.
Key Responsibilities
- System & Network Management: Provide hardware and software support, including installation, configuration, and testing to ensure uniformity, performance, and reliability.
- Cybersecurity & Compliance: Implement and monitor Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and manage antivirus software. Configure and test log management systems/SIEM, and deploy security patches and firmware on SCADA devices.
- Identity & Access Management: Provision user access and privileges on servers and network devices. Conduct audits of user access levels and migrate users from existing site configurations.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Troubleshoot PCs, servers, applications, and networking devices using remote tools or by traveling to various sites. Liaise with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Remote Operations Centre (ROC) to investigate and resolve incidents.
- Project Participation: Actively participate in SCADA and security projects across the region.
- Documentation: Prepare operational reports and maintain procedures manuals for various systems and activities.
Qualifications
- A university degree in Cyber Security, Computer/Software/Electrical Engineering.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity, with a preference for experience in Operational Technology or the energy sector.
- Certifications such as MCSE and CCNA are a significant advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English.
Competencies
- Technical Experience: Experience with Microsoft Windows, Cisco networking devices (switches, routers, firewalls), and Linux operating systems.
- Cybersecurity Insight: Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as C2M2, NIST, AESCSF, IEC62443, or similar.
- Industrial Systems: Experience in PLC programming, automation, or SCADA systems.
- Problem-Solving: The ability to identify, define, and solve the source of problems through a logical process.
- Motivation: A results-driven attitude with a focus on meeting customer needs within existing design constraints.
