Your role and responsibilities
In this role, as a Order Management Specialist you will be responsible for Order handling/ Execution and end to end resolution of Post sales customer requests and for the execution of warranty of Product / customer complaints/ dispute process in timely manner to ensure customer satisfaction.
The work model for the role is: #Li-Onsite.
This role is contributing to the ABB India, Smart Power for Electrification Business in Bangalore Region, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Process and manage sales orders in SAP as per customer purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Handle order approvals, amendments, cancellations, and delivery schedule changes (prepone/postpone, block/unblock) based on customer requirements.
Maintain a clear order backlog with confirmed commitments, promptly expedite orders, and coordinate with backend teams to meet delivery timelines.
Resolve customer and FES inquiries effectively, ensure timely documentation for smooth shipments, and act as a key interface for customer support.
Maintain error-free order (EFO) performance by performing root cause analysis, tracking and reporting KPIs, and keeping order management processes and SOPs documented.
Qualifications for the role:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Order Management or Operations Management roles.
Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Solid knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP, along with experience in SFDC tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders across all levels.
Solid organizational skills with the ability to manage one's own workload amid shifting priorities and adjust to new processes and policies.
Experience in problem-solving methodologies, willingness to travel as required, and ability to promote best practice sharing across the team.
