Oracle WACS Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement, configure, and customize Oracle WebCenter Content (WCC) and WebCenter Sites (WCS) solutions.
• Design and build templates, asset models, content definitions, and workflows.
• Work with internal teams and business users to gather requirements and develop scalable web content and document management solutions.
• Develop and deploy custom components, integrations, and portlets using Java, JSP, ADF, Web Services, or REST/SOAP APIs.
• Configure security models, metadata structures, and content lifecycle management within WCC.
• Integrate WebCenter with other Oracle systems (e.g., Oracle EBS, Fusion Applications, OBIEE, SOA Suite).
• Perform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning of WACS environments.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot production issues related to content publishing, indexing, or access control.
• Maintain technical documentation, configuration guides, and support knowledge base.

Qualifications & Skills:

Essential:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle WebCenter Suite (Content and/or Sites).
• Strong understanding of Java/J2EE, Servlets, JSP, ADF, and Oracle Middleware stack.
• Experience with WCC configuration, workflow management, metadata modeling, and DAM features.
• Knowledge of WCS asset modeling, site planning, content templates, and personalization tools.
• Familiarity with Oracle WebLogic Server, SOA Suite, UCM, and IDM components.

Desirable:

• Experience with Oracle Cloud or hybrid deployments.
• Oracle WebCenter certifications.
• Familiarity with CMS alternatives (Adobe AEM, Sitecore) for comparative knowledge.
• Scripting experience (WLST, Shell, WLST) for automation and deployment.
