Job Description

As an Application Designer, you will assist in defining requirements and designing Oracle EPM solutions that align with business processes and objectives. This is a Techno-Functional role that requires strong leadership, deep subject matter expertise (SME), and hands-on experience with Oracle EPBCS and Hyperion Planning (Cloud and On-Premise). You'll play a key role in cross-functional collaboration, decision-making, and project delivery.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Act as an SME for Oracle EPBCS, leading design and implementation discussions.
  • Collaborate with and manage project teams to ensure timely delivery and high-quality output.
  • Take responsibility for technical and functional decisions across the team.
  • Engage with multiple internal and external teams, contributing to critical project-level decisions.
  • Provide solutions and resolve issues impacting the immediate and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze business requirements and design robust application solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews, ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance to the team and participate in requirement-gathering sessions.
  • Lead project management activities, track project plans, and contribute to Steering Committee meetings.

Professional & Technical Skills

Must-Have Skills

  • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS).
  • Overall 9+ years of experience in Oracle EPM as a Techno-Functional Consultant.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Experience in designing and implementing EPBCS solutions, including:
  • Web Forms, Task Lists, Business Rules, Calculation Scripts
  • Hyperion Planning, Essbase, Financial Reporting Studio
  • Workspace and Shared Services
  • Narrative Reporting and Ad Hoc Analysis
  • Hands-on experience in:
  • EPBCS/PBCS configuration and customization
  • Forecasting and budgeting in Essbase
  • Performance tuning of EPBCS applications
  • Data and metadata loading using FDM, ODI, MDM, Connection Manager
  • Knowledge of:
  • Forms, Functions, Function Builder, BI Content, POV Manager, Submit Data, VB Functions

Additional Information

  • Should have led at least 4 implementation/support projects.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning and stakeholder reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills must be able to write professional emails and handle client calls independently.
  • Willingness to travel and work in shifts as required.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities, a positive attitude, and the ability to take on challenging tasks.
