Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle Linux System Administrator/Engineer to join our infrastructure team. This role is crucial for managing, maintaining, and optimizing our enterprise-level Linux and ERP infrastructure, with a strong focus on Oracle Virtualization and platform stability. The position is open for both L2 (mid-level) and L3 (senior/expert-level) candidates, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
L2 Responsibilities (47 Years Experience)
- System Operations: Manage and maintain the daily operations of Linux and ERP infrastructure.
- Virtualization Management: Perform routine ILO and Oracle Hypervisor management and support.
- Deployment & Onboarding: Handle agent installation, cloning, and management for new server onboarding.
- Storage & Filesystem: Set up and manage OCFS filesystem and shared mode mount point entries.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve disk issues and other complex system problems.
- Maintenance & Security: Implement patching management and OS version upgrades/maintenance for all Linux servers.
- Integration: Configure AD Integration for Linux Servers and integrate ERP servers with SIEM solutions.
- Networking: Configure NIC Bonding for the hypervisor.
- Support: Perform UVS Server Backup and provide extended support for project Linux instances.
L3 Responsibilities (7+ Years Experience)
- Architecture & Design: Act as a subject matter expert with deep expertise on Oracle Linux Hypervisor.
- Advanced Networking: Configure and provide advanced support for virtual networking on Oracle Hypervisor.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain up-to-date architecture and technical design diagrams.
- Cloud Migration: Lead or support the migration of applications from Oracle Hypervisor to Cloud environments.
Required Skills and Technology
- Operating System: Expertise in Linux, specifically Oracle Linux.
- Virtualization: In-depth knowledge of Oracle Linux Virtualization, Oracle Hypervisor, and Virtual Networking.
- Storage: Hands-on experience with OCFS filesystem.
- Scripting/Automation: Proficiency in system maintenance and administration tasks.
- Security & Monitoring: Experience with AD and SIEM integration.
- Cloud: Basic understanding of Oracle Fusion Cloud is required.
