Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Application Developer with strong expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll to design, configure, and implement application solutions aligned with business requirements. The role requires collaboration across teams and strong problem-solving skills to support the full software development lifecycle and ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Oracle HCM Payroll, leading discussions and design sessions with stakeholders.
  • Design, build, configure, and enhance Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll modules to meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Drive and support end-to-end implementations, including configuration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate payroll with Core HR, Benefits, and third-party systems.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports and interfaces using standard Oracle tools.
  • Perform unit testing, debugging, and code optimization to ensure solution integrity.
  • Lead and participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and adherence to development best practices.
  • Troubleshoot payroll calculation and posting issues, ensuring compliance with local payroll legislation and regulations.

Professional & Technical Skills:

Must-Have:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Oracle HCM Cloud Payroll implementation and configuration.
  • Deep understanding of Payroll functionalities, modules, and business processes.
  • Ability to design integrations with third-party systems (e.g., via HCM Extracts, HDL, or REST/SOAP APIs).
  • Experience in custom report development and interface configuration.
  • Strong understanding of payroll compliance, retro-pay, tax processing, and costing.

Good-to-Have:

  • Exposure to Oracle HCM Cloud Core HR and Benefits modules.
  • Proficiency in Fast Formula development for Payroll, Eligibility, and Validation.
  • Knowledge of security configuration, role-based access control (RBAC), and user provisioning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Oracle Cloud HCM certifications are a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
