Job Summary: Oracle Fusion HCM Techno-Functional Architect- Security, Core HR and/or Compensation
We're looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM Expert to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our HCM Security, Core HR and Compensation architecture. The ideal candidate combines deep functional knowledge of Oracle HCM modules with hands-on experience configuring roles, data security policies, and access controls in a global enterprise environment. This role blends system security expertise with broader HCM functional and technical skills to support secure, compliant, and efficient system operations.

Key Responsibilities
Security Architecture & Governance
- Design, configure, and manage Oracle HCM Security framework, including roles, security profiles, data roles, and custom grants
- Act as Security Architect while implementing any new process or changes in existing processes in HR tools space
- Develop and maintain EL Expressions and custom security logic using Oracle Visual Builder Studio and other PaaS components
- Perform impact analysis and regression testing for Oracle quarterly updates to maintain system stability and compliance
- Develop user access reviews, audit reports, and documentation to support compliance and internal controls
Functional Domain Expertise
- Implement and support HCM modules including Core HR, Compensation and Security Module ensuring proper segregation of duties
- Partner with HR and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure and scalable access models
- Configure and maintain functional security profiles, Area of Responsibility, Exclusion Criteria, Department Tree, and Organization Tree
- Design secure integrations with Payroll, Finance, and third-party systems in collaboration with implementation teams
Technical Implementation & Support
- Build and support reports, extracts, and interfaces using BI Publisher, OTBI, HDL/HSDL, and HCM Extracts, ensuring secure data flow
- Troubleshoot security and access issues across environments; work closely with Oracle Support for resolution
- Automate the end-to-end process flow of security access granting, from gathering requests and taking approvals to granting access within Oracle landscape
- Leverage Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Visual Builder Studio for PaaS-based extensions
Legacy Systems & Migration
- Should have worked in PeopleSoft and possess knowledge of PeopleSoft Security modules including Role, Permission List, Row Level Security, and Primary Permission List
- Support migration strategies and dual-run scenarios where applicable
Knowledge Management & Training
- Educate key users and administrators on security best practices and procedures
- Document security architecture, role design rationale, and access control frameworks
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion HCM, with at least 4 years focused on Security architecture and administration
- Strong functional understanding of Core HR, Compensation etc.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining custom roles, role hierarchies, and security policies
- Expertise in configuring functional security profiles, Area of Responsibility, Exclusion Criteria, Department Tree, and Organization Tree
- Skilled in HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, BI Publisher, OTBI, and Fast Formulas
- Strong understanding of data governance, compliance, audit controls, and SOX frameworks
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred
- Oracle HCM Cloud Certification in Security, Core HR, or Compensation
- Exposure to Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or Visual Builder Studio for PaaS-based extensions
- Experience with multi-country HR implementations and complex role design across geographies
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (GDPR, SOC, SOX) and their application in access design
- Experience with PeopleSoft security architecture and migration to Oracle Cloud
