Job Description: Senior Custom Software Engineer (Oracle Financials Lead)

As a Senior Custom Software Engineer, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and technical anchor, bridging the gap between complex business requirements and high-performance software solutions. Your primary focus will be designing, configuring, and optimizing Oracle Financials applications to create bespoke ecosystems that drive organizational efficiency.

In this role, you aren't just writing code; you are architecting the financial backbone of the enterprise. You will lead cross-functional collaborations, mentor rising talent, and make critical technical decisions that influence the long-term scalability of our financial systems.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Subject Matter Expertise: Act as the primary authority on Oracle Financials, providing high-level technical guidance and ensuring best practices are followed across the development lifecycle.
• Decision Ownership: Take accountability for team-level technical decisions and contribute to strategic roadmap discussions involving multiple departments.
• Mentorship: Actively facilitate knowledge-sharing sessions and provide hands-on mentoring to junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous learning.

Solution Architecture & Integration

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Engage with diverse stakeholders to translate intricate business workflows into functional, automated software components.
• Systems Integration: Design and oversee the seamless integration of Oracle Financials with existing enterprise systems, ensuring data integrity and real-time synchronization.
• Complex Problem Solving: Identify, diagnose, and resolve blocker issues that impact the team or broader organizational workflows.

Process Optimization

• Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to audit existing development processes, identifying bottlenecks and implementing automation or workflow enhancements to boost team productivity.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all custom configurations and developments meet rigorous performance standards and align with financial compliance requirements.

Professional & Technical Skills

Core Oracle Expertise

• Advanced Proficiency: Mastery of Oracle Financials (E-Business Suite or Cloud), including Modules such as General Ledger (GL), Payables (AP), Receivables (AR), and Fixed Assets (FA).
• Configuration & Design: Deep experience in the end-to-end design and configuration of financial applications to meet unique business logic.

Technical Proficiencies

• Integration Frameworks: Proven ability to connect Oracle Financials with external ERPs, CRMs, or legacy systems using standard APIs or middleware.
• Data Management: Strong expertise in database management and SQL/PL-SQL query optimization specifically tailored for large-scale financial datasets.
• Troubleshooting: Expert-level ability to perform root-cause analysis on complex application errors and performance lags.

Qualifications & Experience

• Years of Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of dedicated experience working with Oracle Financials in a development or lead capacity.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
