Job Description 

We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Planning Consultant to work from offshore on USA-

based Oracle EPM Cloud implementation projects while collaborating closely with 

onsite/onshore teams and business stakeholders. The consultant will be responsible for 

designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting Oracle EPM Planning solutions including 

Planning, EPBCS, and related modules. 

The role requires strong functional and technical expertise in planning and budgeting processes, 

business rule development, data integrations, reporting, and end-user support within a global 

delivery model. 

 

 

Responsibilities 

∙Gather requirements, design, develop, document and support financial planning, budgeting 

and reporting solutions using Oracle Cloud Planning (Modules/Custom/Free Form) 

∙Experience with implementing oracle cloud planning modules - Financials, Workforce, Capital, 

Projects, and Strategic Modeling. 

∙Participate in Oracle EPM Planning/EPBCS implementation projects for USA-based clients.  

∙ Gather business requirements and translate them into functional and technical solutions.  

∙Design and configure Oracle EPM Planning applications including:  

oWorkforce Planning  

oCapital Planning  

oFinancial Planning  

oRevenue Planning  

oProject Planning  

∙ Develop and maintain:  

oBusiness Rules  

oCalculation Scripts  

oGroovy Rules  

oForms and Dashboards  

oSmart View reports  

∙ Configure metadata, security, workflows, approvals, and data forms.  

∙ Work with Data Integration teams for inbound and outbound data loads.  

∙ Support month-end, forecast, and budgeting cycles.  

∙ Perform unit testing, SIT, UAT support, deployment, and post-go-live stabilization.  

∙ Collaborate daily with USA onsite teams, finance users, and technical teams.  

∙ Prepare functional and technical documentation, user guides, and KT documents.  

∙ Troubleshoot application, calculation, and performance-related issues. 

 

 

 

Essential Skills 

Job  

To qualify for the role, candidate must have: 

∙Over 6+ years EPM experience in the areas of administration, design, analysis, development 

and Support of applications in various domains and products related to data warehousing, 

and EPM applications and tools (Hyperion), Oracle Cloud (Fusion) 

∙Worked as an Oracle EPM Planning Consultant supporting USA-based Oracle EPM Cloud 

implementation projects from offshore. Experienced in Oracle EPBCS/PBCS application design, 

business rules, calculation scripts, Groovy scripting, Smart View, dashboards, security, and 

planning process implementation. Collaborated with onsite teams and finance users for 

requirement gathering, development, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

∙Strong hands-on experience with:  

oOracle EPM Planning / EPBCS / PBCS  

oCalculation Scripts  

oGroovy Scripting  

oSmart View  

oData Forms & Dashboards  

oBusiness Rules  

∙Knowledge of:  

oEPM Automate  

oData Integration / FDMEE  

oREST APIs  

oMetadata management  

∙Experience with security setup and migration across environments.  

∙Understanding of integrations with ERP systems and data warehouses.

oFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)  

oWorkforce and Capital Planning  

oVariance Analysis and Financial Reporting  

oFinancial statement planning processes 

 

 

∙Must be able to work independently to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues prior to their 

occurrence. 

∙Strong skills across MS word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Office and other collaboration and unified 

communication tools. 

∙Should be open to adopt new technologies. 

∙Oracle EPM Cloud certification preferred. 

Personal  

∙Strong communication skills for working with USA-based onsite teams and business 

users.  

∙Experience working in offshore-onshore delivery models.  

∙Ability to independently manage tasks and meet project timelines.  

∙Flexible for partial overlap with US working hours.  

 

 

Preferred Skills 

Job 

∙Must have Experience with implementing oracle cloud planning modules - Financials, 

Workforce, Capital, Projects, and Strategic Modeling 

∙Should have sound knowledge on Data Integrations and Automation of processes 

∙Experience on other Oracle cloud EPM application (Preferably FCCS & ARCS) is a plus 

∙Should be flexible to work for long hours to overlap with the EST, CST and PST working hours. 

∙Should possess good interpersonal and communication skills.  

∙Should have positive attitude.  

∙MBA Finance or Candidate with good finance domain background is a Plus. 

∙Oracle Cloud Certifications in Cloud EPM work stream is a Plus.
