Role Description
- In our squad Advisory and DPM we develop and maintain multiple applications within the Wealth Management Area of Deutsche Bank Private Bank with the focus on the Advisory Process for our Clients. The applications support the value chain from gathering Client and Investment Idea data, creating a full documentation of the advisory process between Client and Client Advisor up until the preparation of the Orders against the market.
- As Senior Engineer you are responsible for designing and developing entire engineering solutions.
- You will employ your profound technical experience to ensure that the solutions are well architected, maintainable and built stable according to the DevOps philosophy.
- In the team you provide thought leadership by mentoring and coaching to less experienced team members

Your key responsibilities
- You are involved in the whole Software Development Lifecycle starting from analyzing database requirements, developing database features, deploying and testing software as well as maintaining & continuously improving it. This involves familiarity with the Linux platform and includes Job Scheduling and Scripting in various scripting languages.
- Your primary focus will be on configuration and change management, health monitoring and utilization of systems including trending, performance analysis and reporting.
- You are part of 3rd level support in case of occurring incidents, problem management and monitoring of database environments (Oracle Cloud)
- You collaborate with other team members, 3rd parties and vendors to achieve the sprint objectives.
- You actively participate and contribute into the sprint activities and ceremonies
Your skills and experience
- Deep Oracle Database skills (Oracle Cloud, Oracle Exadata)
- Experience on Linux Platform (RedHat)
- Experience in various scripting languages like Shell Scripts or Python.
- Experience in Optimization of Database Queries
- Strong SQL Knowledge
- Knowledge in Midrange-Infrastructure (virtualization concept, implementation, monitoring) and agile development frameworks (e.g. Teamcity, Artefactory, Jira, UCD)
- At least 5 years of in-depth development in at least one development environment.
- Experience in Apache Airflow and Geneos
- Experience in batch processing and job scheduling systems, cloud technology (e.g. Openshift4-Container)
- Experience in monitoring and troubleshooting application performance with demonstrated ability to identify, research and analyze technical problems and recommend solutions
- Pro-active team player with good communication and English language skills
