You will be part of Shared Services Center which is comprises of Technical, IT and commercial services into a centralized unit that serves multiple business units. The goal is to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and standardize processes across the organization.

Job Description

1.Job Specification:

  • Job Title: Database Administrator Oracle
  • Department: ITSSC
  • Job Location: Delhi NCR
  • Designation: Engineer
  • Budget: 8-10 LPA
  • Location: Delhi NCR

2. Overview / Objectives:

Operation and Maintenance of Oracle databases as part of a global team in Germany, USA and India. Main responsibility for operation of the databases in the Asian region, in accordance with the global standards for operation and security. Further development of the standards, together with the team members in the other regions. 2nd level support for databases in the Americas and Europe regions (Follow the Sun).

3.Qualification requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Oracle DBA, with a strong understanding of Oracle architecture and administration
  • Educational Qualification: min. IT specialist / Bachelor Technology computer science

4.Area of responsibility:

  • Installation and Configuration: Setting up Oracle server instances and configuring databases.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades: Regularly updating and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitoring database performance and tuning SQL queries to improve efficiency.
  • Security Management: Implementing security measures to protect data, patches, including setting up user roles and permissions.
  • Automation and Scripting:
  • Develop and maintain scripts for automating routine tasks.
  • Backup and Recovery: Designing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving database-related issues and errors.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with developers to optimize application performance and support database-related development tasks
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation for database configurations, procedures, and processes.

5. Additional knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of database security best practices and compliance requirements
  • Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with other IT professionals and stakeholders
  • Exadata, KVM, Oracle Restart would be beneficial
  • Good Unix and shell scripting experience Automation and DevOps knowledge can be beneficial.
