We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our dynamic team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining Oracle databases, ensuring their performance, security, and availability.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries and structures for efficiency.
- Implement backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Manage database security, including user access and roles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and incidents in a timely manner.
- Perform regular database upgrades and patching.
- Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Collaborate with application developers to optimize database interactions.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture and components.
- Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming.
- Experience with Oracle database backup and recovery tools, such as RMAN.
- Familiarity with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Understanding of Oracle security features and best practices.
- Ability to work with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
