Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Oracle Core DBA to manage and support mission-critical database environments. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and high availability solutions, along with hands-on experience in upgrades and migrations to latest Oracle versions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer Oracle databases in a 24x7 production environment
- Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization
- Design and manage partitioning strategies for large datasets
- Configure and maintain Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard (DG), and Active Data Guard (ADG)
- Execute database upgrades and migrations to Oracle 19c, 23AI, and 26AI
- Monitor database environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM)
- Implement and manage Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) for database security
- Perform backup and recovery operations, ensuring data integrity and availability
- Configure and support Oracle GoldenGate for replication and data integration
- Troubleshoot database issues and ensure high availability and performance
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams for database optimization
Requirements
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration (10+ years)
- Expertise in:
- Performance Tuning & Optimization
- Partitioning
- RAC / ASM
- Data Guard & Active Data Guard
- Hands-on experience in database upgrades and migrations (19c, 23AI, 26AI)
- Proficiency in OEM monitoring tools
- Strong knowledge of TDE (Transparent Data Encryption)
- Experience in Backup & Restore strategies (RMAN)
- Working experience with Oracle GoldenGate
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Good to Have
- Experience working in 24x7 production support environments
- Exposure to automation and scripting (Shell/Python)
- Knowledge of cloud-based Oracle deployments (OCI/AWS/Azure)
