Oracle Core Apps Database Administrator

Position Overview

We're looking for a skilled Oracle Database Administrator to take ownership of our database infrastructure. You'll play a critical role in ensuring our Oracle systems run smoothly, securely, and efficiently while partnering closely with development and business stakeholders.

What You'll Do

Database Management & OperationsOversee the installation, configuration, and version upgrades of Oracle database software and associated tools. You'll manage databases across all environmentsfrom development and testing through to productionensuring consistency and reliability at every stage.

Performance & OptimizationFocus on database tuning and performance enhancement to keep systems running at peak efficiency. You'll proactively monitor database health, identify bottlenecks, and resolve issues before they impact users.

Data Protection & RecoveryDesign and execute comprehensive backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans. You'll be responsible for applying patches and security updates to maintain regulatory compliance and protect critical data assets.

Security & Access ControlManage user permissions, roles, and privileges to safeguard sensitive information. You'll implement security best practices and maintain strict access controls across all database environments.

Collaboration & DocumentationWork alongside application developers and system administrators to ensure seamless database integration. You'll create and maintain thorough documentation covering database architecture, procedures, and processes.

Strategic InitiativesSupport database migration projects and version upgrades, including transitions to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.

What We're Looking For

Education & ExperienceYou hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and bring at least three years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.

Technical ExpertiseYou have deep knowledge of Oracle RDBMS architecture and administration, particularly with Oracle 12c/19c or newer releases. Your skills include PL/SQL development, performance tuning, and query optimization. You're comfortable working with RMAN, Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager, and you have solid experience in Linux/Unix environments. You understand backup and recovery strategies inside and out, including disaster recovery planning. Above all, you're an analytical thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have

Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Exadata would be valuable. Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is a plus. Scripting skills in Shell or Python and Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification would strengthen your candidacy.
