Key Responsibilities
- Experience in leading, mentoring a team of Oracle and Oracle apps DBAs, providing technical guidance, performance evaluations, and career development.
- Team handling experience of at least 10+ resources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams.
- Administer and support Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c) , ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Install, configure, and manage Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) , including patching, upgrades, and user access.
- Monitor and maintain Oracle Apps EBS environments, ensuring maximum uptime and system efficiency.
- Design, implement, and manage high availability solutions for Oracle Databases and Oracle EBS , including Oracle RAC , Data Guard , and Active Data Guard .
- Manage and optimize Oracle Applications environments, including APPS tier , DB tier , and Concurrent Managers .
- Must have upgrade and implementation experience for EBS 12. 2
- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, application errors, and connectivity problems.
- Perform Oracle EBS upgrades , including patching, maintenance, and full application stack validation.
- Manage Oracle 12c/19c multi-tenant databases (PDB/ CDB) and container databases .
- Ensure Oracle database and applications comply with security best practices, including user management , encryption , and audit trails .
- Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and integrate Oracle-based solutions.
- Monitor and manage database and application performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools.
- Provide support during major incidents, including on-call rotation , troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Ensure proper database capacity planning and manage the performance, growth, and expansion of Oracle database environments.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing for Oracle Database and EBS environments .
Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA , with at least 8 + years of experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) administration.
- Extensive experience with Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c) administration, including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, backup/recovery, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in managing Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) installations, including all application tiers ( DB Tier , Apps Tier ), and managing Concurrent Managers , Oracle Forms , Reports , and Workflow .
Preferred Qualifications
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms for database and application hosting.
- Familiarity with Oracle Goldengate for data replication and migration.
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Oracle environments.
- Knowledge of Oracle Exadata and Oracle Autonomous Database .
