We are seeking an experienced Oracle APEX Developer with strong skills in application design, PL/SQL development, and integration with Oracle Cloud or on-prem systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and user-friendly APEX applications that support business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy Oracle APEX applications aligned with business requirements.
- Work on interactive reports, dashboards, charts, and REST integrations within APEX.
- Develop and optimize PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Customize UI and UX using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Oracle Redwood theme.
- Implement dynamic actions, validations, and process automation in APEX.
- Integrate APEX with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS), Fusion Cloud APIs, and OAuth2 authentication.
- Maintain data integrity, performance tuning, and secure application design.
- Participate in code reviews, version control (Git), and deployment automation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DBAs, business analysts, and testers).
- Prepare technical documentation and support UAT and production rollout.
Required Skills:
- Oracle Application Express (APEX 20.x 24.x)
- Strong hands-on experience (5+ years) in Oracle Application Express (APEX 20.x 24.x).
- Expert-level understanding of page processing, session state management, authorization schemes, and security.
- Experience with interactive grids, cards,Forms, Reports, charts, faceted search, REST-enabled SQL, and plug-ins.
- Deep understanding of Redwood UI customization, dynamic actions, and custom JavaScript events.
- Proven ability to build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly applications using APEX Universal Theme.
SQL & PL/SQL Programming
- Advanced expertise in query optimization, bulk processing (FORALL, BULK COLLECT), and exception handling.
- Experience developing modular PL/SQL packages, functions, and procedures for reusable logic.
- Ability to write complex analytical SQL queries, cursors, and performance-tuned DML operations.
- Knowledge of data modeling, relational design, and referential integrity principles.
Integration & API Development
- Hands-on experience consuming REST/SOAP web services within APEX using REST Data Sources.
- Implementation of OAuth2 Client Credentials, Bearer Token authentication, and Fusion Cloud API integration.
- Building custom REST endpoints using ORDS for external system integration.
