Optometry Interns to join our team at Eye Mantra in Delhi. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in conducting eye exams, assisting with diagnosing visual conditions, prescribing corrective lenses under supervision, and supporting patient care. This internship is a great opportunity for students or recent graduates to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge in a professional setting while working alongside experienced optometrists.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Eye Exams:
- Assist Senior Optometrists in performing eye exams, refraction tests, and using diagnostic equipment.
- Provide basic tests such as visual acuity checks, color vision tests, and basic ocular health assessments.
- Prepare patients for exams and assist with the application of contact lenses or glasses fittings under supervision.
- Patient Care Support:
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices and corrective lens usage.
- Help maintain patient records and document their eye health assessments.
- Participate in follow-up care and provide routine eye care advice.
- Equipment Handling & Maintenance:
- Assist in the operation and maintenance of diagnostic equipment, including slit-lamp machines, autorefractors, and tonometers.
- Learn and apply best practices for using optometry equipment under senior guidance.
Requirements
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Optometry (B.Optom).
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Skills:
- Basic knowledge of optometry practices and eye health.
- Ability to assist in conducting eye exams, operating diagnostic equipment, and maintaining patient records.
- Strong desire to learn and develop skills in optometry under senior supervision.
