Role Description

The Optometrist role at Grewal Eye Institute is a full-time, on-site role located in Chandigarh / New Chandigarh (Punjab). The Optometrist will be responsible to

1.Perform thorough routine eye inspections.

2.Identify the patient's visual alertness, field of vision, and hand-eye coordination.

3.Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness and color blindness.

4.Prescribe corrective lenses and medications.

5.Maintain accurate medical files for all patients.

6.Promote eye health by teaching patients about proper eye care techniques.

7.Identify and assess eye defects and diseases such as diabetes and liver failure.

8.Record all diagnosis and treatment plans including transfers and therapeutic prescriptions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Optometry, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in Refraction, Orthoptics, Biometry, Visual Fields, LVA, etc.
• Patient orientation with empathy and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills, and analytical skills
• Excellent time management and communication skills
